The Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee (Chairman Kang Nam-hoon and Chairman of the Korea Automobile Industry Association, hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee) is promoting ‘Seoul Mobility Show 2023’ jointly with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Park Bo-gyun) and the Korea Tourism Organization (CEO Kim Jang-sil). It was announced that it was selected as one of the ‘2023 K-Culture Tourism Events’.

‘Top 100 K-Culture Tourism Events’ is a selection of 2023 events so that foreign tourists can enjoy attractive K-culture in various fields such as culture, art, content, and food in the 2024-100 Visit Korea Year. It was selected after receiving recommendations from 17 metropolitan local governments and private experts in each field, after reviewing whether it met the first requirements and going through a second final review committee.

The top 100 K-culture tourism events include ‘Seoul Festa 2023’, which showcases the charms of Seoul as a global tourist city, from K-pop performances to beauty and gourmet cuisine, and the 14th and 15th international art exhibition held this year with the theme of ‘Soft and tender as water’. While representative domestic festivals such as the ‘Gwangju Biennale’ and the cherry blossom festival ‘Jinhae Gunhang Festival’ were selected, the Seoul Mobility Show also stood shoulder to shoulder with its name.

The Seoul Mobility Show is Korea’s only international exhibition accredited by the International Organization of the Automotive Industry (OICA) and is Korea’s largest mobility industry exhibition held every two years since 1995. Recognized for its symbolism as Korea’s representative exhibition, it was selected as one of the ‘2 K-Culture Tourism Events’ and was given the opportunity to promote the event around the world.

At this year’s exhibition, you can see a variety of mobility contents encompassing land, sea, and air, including finished vehicles such as passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and supercars, as well as self-driving cars, electric vehicles, personal mobility, urban air traffic (UAM), drones, and autonomous ships. In addition, we plan to provide entertainment centered on visitor experience, such as test driving events for eco-friendly cars and new cars, as well as online and offline events.

In particular, in this Seoul Mobility Show, in addition to offline exhibitions, 3D exhibition halls of major participating companies will be organized in an online space (Metaverse) to establish and operate a platform where domestic and foreign visitors can comfortably view the exhibition and enjoy various events.

An official from the organizing committee said, “The selection of the ‘100 K-Culture Tourism Events’ is meaningful in promoting the status of the Seoul Mobility Show, Korea’s largest comprehensive exhibition, to the world and further demonstrating the expandability of the future mobility ecosystem.” “We will do our best to ensure that domestic and foreign visitors can experience comprehensive mobility culture through various attractions and experience events,” he said.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will be held from March 1th (Thursday) to April 3th (Sunday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 30 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do under the theme of ‘Sustainable·Connected·Mobility (Sustainable·Connected·Mobility)’. It is scheduled to be held for a total of 4 days.
