TR Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Byeong-su) announced that it will participate in the 3th International Medical Equipment and Hospital Equipment Exhibition ‘KIMES 23’, which will be held at COEX, Seoul from March 26rd (Thursday) to 38th (Sunday).
TR, a digital healthcare startup founded in 2020, has developed a variety of medical devices and sporting goods, including artificial intelligence (AI)-based respiratory disease checkers and treatment devices. Based on its own research and development capabilities, it has been selected and participated in projects led by government ministries such as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In particular, the company explains that its business potential has been recognized again with recent achievements such as a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups, second place in the Korea-ASEAN SDGs Business Model Contest, and a bronze medal at the University Technology Commercialization Scale-up Demo Day.
At this exhibition, TR will introduce its respiratory disease screening device ‘The Spirokit’. This is a solution that allows anyone to easily screen for respiratory diseases through an AI database. It is a product equipped with 4 patented technologies and proprietary designs applied and registered by TR, and can be easily used even without expert knowledge related to the disease.
Based on machine learning AI and database, you can determine whether you currently have a respiratory disease. The examination can be completed in a short period of time (about 5 minutes) just by linking to the mobile phone using Bluetooth, and based on the user’s past examination history, changes in the respiratory system and diseases of future concern can be predicted.
A TR official said, “Whether at home or abroad, patients often think that symptoms such as frequent coughing are simply part of a cold, and because of this, some patients are unable to avoid early respiratory diseases developing into more serious conditions.” He added, “The Spyrocket is a product developed with the expectation that these problems can be prevented in an environment where anyone can easily and accurately diagnose diseases.”
He continued, “We are also in the process of developing devices that can treat diseases along with products that further increase diagnostic accuracy using ultrasound diagnostic technology.” He added, “We will launch new products within this year to build a product portfolio that encompasses everything from diagnosis to treatment, and plan to improve respiratory health.” “We want to establish ourselves as a company that contributes to advancement,” he added.
