VSpace (CEO Baek Seung-won) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA from Tuesday, January 9th to January 12th (Friday, local time) next year.

VSpace is a company that has accumulated independent research and development capabilities related to aircraft such as urban air traffic (UAM). They have a variety of achievements in supplying aircraft to major domestic and foreign aerospace companies, defense companies, AAM and UAM companies and institutions, and in attracting collaboration within the industry.

In particular, VSpace unveiled its self-developed Future Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft ‘V-Speeder’ last year, and this model boasts outstanding performance, including a maximum take-off weight of 300kg and a top speed of 90km/h. also attracted public attention with its performance of being the first in Korea to perform a test flight over an urban area. This is an unprecedented achievement in the world, except for China’s ‘Ehang’ and Germany’s ‘Volocopter’.

At this year’s CES, VSpace plans to exhibit and exhibit the V-Speedr and seek sales channels in the global market. The V-Speeder is a model produced for the personal aircraft market that complies with the standards of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the company explains that it reflects the experience and technology accumulated over many years in UAM airframe production and transportation mobility development.

The currently mass-produced V-Speeder is an improved product with a payload of 120 kg and a maximum speed of 80 km/h, with a maximum flight time of 20 minutes. As such, superior specifications and performance over competitors’ products were realized through the high-density, high-output battery propulsion system applied to the aircraft, and Vspace plans to expand its sales base by taking advantage of these advantages and the relatively low price.

A VSpace official said, “The V-Speedr, which has a wide range of uses based on excellent performance compared to its price, is a product that has increased its appeal as it also has options that can be used in major infrastructure of future smart cities, such as logistics delivery systems and emergency disaster rescue aircraft.” It was elaborate.

He continued, “After entering the markets of various countries such as the United States, we will diversify our product portfolio through technological diversification and expand our purchasing channels to become a global air mobility company.”

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
