Sunghwa FT (CEO Jung Sun-young) has announced its participation in ‘H2 MEET 2024’, which will be held at KINTEX in Goyang City from September 25th (Wednesday) to 27th (Friday).

Sunghwa FT is a company that specializes in developing and supplying disaster and safety strategic area gas detection alarm devices and real-time monitoring systems, as well as atmospheric and odor monitoring systems, as defined in the Small and Medium Business Administration’s SME strategic technology roadmap. With over 20 years of expertise in developing and servicing gas detection alarm devices, the company provides a one-stop service, including manufacturing, installation, and calibration.

The company specializes in materials, parts, and equipment and has been recognized as a leading company in Busan. It has received accolades, including awards from the Busan Techno Park President, the Minister of SMEs and Startups, and the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy.

Furthermore, as a board member company of the Korean Disaster Safety Industry Technology Association, Sunghwa FT continuously pursues research and improvement activities related to technology development and industrial safety. Under the ‘GASFT’ brand, the company constantly develops and launches customized products.

Sunghwa FT manufactures and supplies gas, leak detectors, and odor monitoring systems for plant sites handling hazardous chemicals, performing maintenance, and supplying to over 1,000 domestic companies, public institutions, and university research institutes. Major domestic clients include KCC, SKC, Lotte Chemical, POSCO, Hyundai BNG Steel, and LG Chem, with public institutions such as the Korea Environment Corporation, Korea National Oil Corporation, Korea Gas Corporation, and university laboratories.

The company plans to launch newly developed commercial products at this exhibition. The new flammable and toxic gas detectors have obtained domestic and international explosion-proof certifications, minimizing external environmental impacts for stable operation and timely response to safety incidents.

Additionally, new leak film and point sensor detectors have been developed and are being launched with intrinsic safety explosion-proof certifications (FT-PC-55Ex (Ex ia IIC T6)/24-KA2BO-0327X, FT-PC-02Ex (Ex ia IIC T6)/24-KA2BO-0328X). The leak film sensors are operated in straight, connected, and elbow types, and the leak point sensors can operate individually or in conjunction with multiple point sensors.

As environmental issues become more pressing and societal concerns about atmospheric odors rise, Sunghwa FT has developed and is supplying an integrated atmospheric/odor detection monitoring system. This product can be operated remotely in real time, and its measuring target materials can be easily changed by simply swapping modules. It is already in operation at various public institutions and companies.

Moreover, the integrated monitoring system, which operates with gas and leak detectors and receivers, collects and analyzes detector data in real time. In case of alarms, it immediately alerts safety managers via SMS, securing a golden time for accident prevention and enabling swift responses.

Sunghwa FT initially targets Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East for international expansion, noting, “The reason for targeting Southeast Asia and the Middle East is the gradually expanding market size of workplaces handling hazardous substances in these regions. With multinational corporations currently dominating the gas and leak detector market, we aim to enter the market through competition with our products.”

H2 MEET is a specialized hydrogen industry exhibition for domestic and international companies and institutions involved in hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. This year’s exhibition aims to be a professional event that will enhance participation from global hydrogen industry companies, generate tangible results, and contribute to the understanding of South Korea’s hydrogen economy ecosystem. Starting this year, it will be held in conjunction with H2WORLD, and concurrently, the K-BATTERY SHOW 2024 and the Heating, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Fluid Exhibition Korea (HARFKO 2024) will also take place at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1.
