Kakao’s social contribution platform, Kakao Together Values, announced on the 31st that it will present ‘Everyone’s Action’, an action participation project to participate in solving social problems through daily actions.
Through ‘Everyone’s Action’, users can share information about campaigns conducted by the project. Participate voluntarily, supporting the campaign with others by performing and verifying related actions.
The first campaign theme is ‘Green Digital’. To celebrate Environment Day on June 5, three campaign speakers propose ways to participate in carbon reduction as an action mission.
Kakao developer Pearl proposes daily actions that can reduce carbon emissions by shortening the spam mailbox and trash bin deletion period through the ‘Lighten Mail, Lighten the Earth’ campaign.
By participating in the ‘Green Digital Life that Considers the Environment’ proposed by actor Cha Hak-yeon, you can protect the environment by setting dark mode when using digital devices such as mobile phones, reducing screen brightness, and unplugging unused electrical cords.
Environmental activist Kim Jeong-won’s ‘Paper receipts and bills become smarter with mobile devices’ recommends participating in eco-friendly actions by applying for receipts and bills via mobile instead of paper.
To participate in the Everyone’s Action Project, simply upload and verify a photo of your actions on the Kakao Together Value website. Each time an action is verified, Kakao accumulates 1,000 won in donations.
The donation will be used to create ‘Everyone’s Action Forest (tentative name)’ in cooperation with environmental organizations. When a user verifies 10 times, Kakao will donate a total of 10,000 won to plant one tree.
Users who participate in all three action missions of this campaign will receive electric bicycles, upcycling bags, etc. through a drawing after the campaign ends.
You can also participate using your KakaoTalk profile. You can set three related stickers on your personal profile in the KakaoTalk profile edit menu.
In the future, Kakao Together Value plans to select new topics every month, such as supporting Korea, Zero-Waste, and mobility accessibility.
