Naver reported that its ‘No Code AI’ platform ‘Clova Studio’ is rapidly expanding its large-scale AI ecosystem centered on startups.
According to Naver, about 600 companies have applied for the beta service, and about 100 startups are currently participating, and there are also cases of launching services by incorporating AI technology using Clova Studio.
Naver has been providing Clova Studio’s closed beta service to AI startups through the Naver Cloud Platform since last February. The feature is that even non-developers can easily implement AI using a very large language model just by entering a simple explanation and example (prompt). Various language-related tasks such as creation, summary, classification, conversation, and conversion are possible, and the results can be issued through API and linked to the service.
Through Clova Studio, the plan is to support startups, SMEs, and creators who lack AI development capabilities to utilize the large-scale AI technology invested by Naver in business and creation, and to experiment with the possibility of innovation through AI. Last June, it participated in the government’s large-scale AI utilization project and announced that it would provide Clova Studio to domestic public and research institutions and schools through the Naver Cloud Platform.
‘Space Stationery’, which services the worldview co-creation platform <Story Nation>, introduced the artificial intelligence assistant writer ‘Tori AI’ on its platform, which is currently in beta testing, on the 13th. ‘Tori AI’, developed based on Clova Studio, recommends various expressions suitable for the work based on the sentences entered by the writer. The goal is to help novice writers lessen their concerns about expression during the creative process and gain new ideas.
“Story Nation provides a system that allows even novice writers to easily create the world they have imagined,” said Park Ho-jun, CEO of Uju Stationery. “With the help of ‘Tori AI,’ developed based on Naver Hyperclova’s AI technology, “I hope to create an environment where anyone can comfortably write and create stories.”
Meanwhile, Naver is using the Clova Studio platform within the company and actively applying ‘Hyperclova’ to various Naver services, taking the lead in the everyday use of AI. Creating marketing phrases for shopping plans, recommending gift products and messages, and extracting industry-specific keywords from keyword reviews are the results of actively utilizing the ‘Clova Studio’ platform within the company.
Seok-Geun Jeong, CEO of Naver Clova CIC, said, “To realize ‘AI for everyone,’ Naver is going beyond developing HyperClova and focusing on providing it in the form of a service so that actual users can experience the technology in their daily lives. “We hope that Naver’s large-scale AI technology and the professional capabilities of each startup, SME, and creator will come together to create new possibilities and benefit more users from AI,” he said.
