IT startup Space Bank was selected as a disaster safety technology commercialization consulting support company in the ‘2022 Disaster Safety Company Commercialization Capacity Building Consulting Program’.
The disaster safety technology commercialization consulting support project, which has been in progress for the third year by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, helps companies resolve various difficulties that arise in the process of commercializing and selling excellent disaster safety technology through customized consulting support, and improves the company’s capabilities. Spacebank is the first in Korea to provide an AIoT integrated control solution for the AI Smart Radar service, which detects security incidents and facility intrusions using radar in the 77 GHz frequency band, as part of LG U+’s (CEO Hwang Hyun-sik) ESG management activities in July. It has participated as a supplier in the Baekdudaegan Global Seed Bolt Smart Radar Construction Project.
The ‘Baekdudaegan Global Seed Vault’, a permanent preservation facility for wild plant seeds within the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum (Director Lee Jong-geon), is a national security facility created to store seeds even in situations of global risk, and, along with the Norwegian Svalbard Seed Vault, are located all over the world. It is one of only two permanent plant seed preservation facilities in the country.
Spacebank plans to support consulting in developing a market for the public procurement market with the ‘Intelligent IoT Integrated Control Solution’, which is an advanced version of the disaster safety AIoT solution supplied to Baekdudaegan Global Seed Bolt, and supply it to companies and institutions that need the solution in the future.
Spacebank CEO Wonhee Lee said, “We are happy to be able to pioneer a public procurement market for our intelligent IoT integrated control solution through customized consulting for this support project. “We hope that this solution will become an innovative solution capable of preventing and responding to major disasters that can be used in the disaster prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery activities of public institutions,” he said.
Meanwhile, Space Bank is currently a company located in the Pangyo Startup Zone, established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Start-up Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
