The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center) announced that investment companies ‘JIns’ and ‘Able J’ were selected for the TIPS program.

TIPS is a private investment-led development program of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to support startups with excellent technology. The government provides research and development funds of up to 500 million won for two years for selected promising startups, and can receive additional funding for commercialization and overseas marketing.

The selection of two investment companies as TIPS is the first achievement achieved by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center since it was newly registered as a TIPS operator in June.

JINS is a company specializing in the development of electric double layer capacitors, which are high-output energy storage devices. By combining EDLC technology and solar cell (photoelectric conversion) device technology, we are developing the world’s first solar cell device with a high open-circuit voltage (over 5.4V to 46.8V). The goal is to accelerate the commercialization of high-voltage solar power plants by advancing technology development through the TIPS program.

Able J is an artificial intelligence (AI) and non-face-to-face interview operation service company. We are supplying ‘Interview Box’, the optimal non-face-to-face interview space, and ‘Interview Note’, an online coaching platform specializing in interviews, and providing a stable video system and video interview content. Through this selection, we plan to not only upgrade the service and increase its versatility so that it can be used in various industries, but also focus on entering the AI interview market.

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center is a public accelerator and TIPS operator that discovers and invests in promising companies. The goal is to help the company grow into a global unicorn company by providing various accelerator programs, providing childcare space, and supporting overseas expansion.

In addition, we are continuing to pursue investments in innovative startups such as childcare companies, and have completed direct investments in a total of 18 companies, including LuxPM, Gerabrid, JIns, and AbleJ. Detailed information can be found on the Gyeonggi Innovation Center website.
