The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center), the operating organization of the Pangyo Startup Zone, announced that it had successfully completed the ’10th Startup 815 NEXT’ on the 13th.
‘Startup 815 NEXT’ is an IR program where the Gyeonggi Innovation Center discovers companies seeking to attract follow-up investment and actively matches them with fund investors in related industries. During the 9th session, 28 companies participated, and follow-up meetings were held for more than 60% of the participating companies, so the results of attracting investment are expected in the future.
This episode was conducted in the field of mobility. Participating companies include ▲Dongsung ITEC (flexible parking platform developer and operator) ▲Yellowknife (cloud-based vehicle digital dashboard ‘Veloga Auto’) ▲Auto One (battery sharing electric two-wheeled vehicle ‘Autos EV Scooter’). proved the business model and competitiveness of the BM.
VCs participated include Platinum Technology Investment, Capstone Partners, Korea Investment Partners, Alumni Partners, and Yuanta Investment. We asked in-depth questions about the core technology, competitiveness, and scale-up strategy of the BM in question to look into investment possibilities.
An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “In order to continue our role as a hub for attracting follow-up investment for startups, we plan to continue working to ensure that investments are made by actively matching attractive companies with professional investors in related industries.”
Startup 815 is held at each stage of startup growth in the Pangyo Startup Zone on the second, third, and fourth Thursday of every month, and plans to continuously discover promising companies to revitalize the investment ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the Startup Zone is Korea’s largest startup support cluster, established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively foster promising startups in new industries, and operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
