Krafton Co., Ltd. held the first induction ceremony for the software talent training program ‘Krafton Jungle’.
At the entrance ceremony held at Seoul National University’s Siheung Campus, Director Kim Jeong-han, coaches, and Krafton Board of Directors Chairman Byeong-gyu Jang attended the first class of trainees and delivered a message encouraging them to grow as developers.
Krafton Jungle Director Kim Jeong-han said, “We sincerely welcome everyone who comes to Krafton Jungle with the goal of growing as a software developer.” He added, “Collaboration rather than competition with colleagues, a challenging spirit that never gives up until the end, and immersion. “Through fun, I hope to become a great developer who grows better today than yesterday and tomorrow more than today in Krafton Jungle,” he said.
Byeong-gyu Jang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Krafton, said, “Krafton Jungle is the optimal environment where you can focus solely on ‘growth’ while experiencing a self-directed attitude, the importance of immersion, teamwork with good colleagues, and building a solid foundation.” “We hope that those of you who are starting the jungle will grow into key talents who will lead the future of Krafton Jungle and the IT industry.”
A total of 49 first-generation trainees who were selected as finalists will begin training camp at Seoul National University’s Siheung Campus for five months until March next year. They start at the basic level of computer science and experience high-difficulty operating system (OS) projects and the development and launch of team projects. During the training period, job briefing sessions and project mentoring are held by major IT companies participating as partners, and opportunities for employment are also provided after the project is completed.
Krafton Jungle is a software talent training program designed to fulfill social responsibility in Krafton’s own way. It was started to solve the problem of recruiting software manpower in the industry and at the same time contribute to the creation of youth employment.
