In order for Gyeonggi Province to inform the world of the value and corporate status of Pangyo Techno Valley, an ‘Online Meet Up’ was held with Clement Jean, reporter of the European media ‘STARTUPWORLD’, through video conference on October 25th. ‘ was carried out.
Hills Robotics (CEO Park Myung-gyu) is an autonomous robot hardware and software company established in 2016. Since 2021, we have been pursuing joint R&D on autonomous driving with KAIST, a major domestic research institute, and received the CES Innovation Award last year and this year.

The flagship product, the self-driving logistics robot ‘Lorobot’, is a SLAM-based self-driving solution that can be operated without an external marker. The robot’s path can be set in advance and made to follow the worker as needed, allowing the robot to be operated flexibly.
In addition, ‘Solomon’, a robot control software, supports path management, mission management, status management, monitoring, preventive maintenance, and remote updates for multiple robots.

The solution developed by Hills Robotics leads to 2D LiDAR autonomous driving performance comparable to that of general 3D LiDAR. Through this, sensor costs, which account for a large portion of the robot price, can be reduced, lowering the robot price.
In addition, its feature is that it reduces additional costs associated with robot operation and improves operational effectiveness through preventive stop support based on empirical data and remote updates based on logistics expertise.
Hills Robotics currently has joint R&D and business cooperation with Silicon Valley and Israeli tech companies, and is pursuing joint R&D in robot development with major domestic and foreign research institutes, such as Flanders Make in Belgium. In addition, the flagship product ‘Rorobot’ has an Indonesian export order (PO) signed.
In addition, we are making extensive preparations for global expansion by targeting a total of three types of cooperation targets: ▲end clients who operate fulfillment centers, warehouses, distribution centers, etc. ▲overseas maintenance partners ▲companies that can become our overseas distributors.

An official from Hills Robotics said, “Our company has raised 100 million won through Seed and is currently in the process of Pre-Series A. “In terms of robot sales, we recorded over 200 million won in sales in the first half of this year,” he said. “We quickly built up references by simultaneously targeting domestic and overseas markets, and we expect that mutual synergy between references will be demonstrated to accelerate sales.” In addition, in the mid to long term, we plan to provide various services to support the unmanned logistics center.”
Meanwhile, ‘Online Meetup’ is one of Pangyo Techno Valley’s promotional projects and is an event to exchange opinions online with startup clusters around the world on major issues of Pangyo Techno Valley companies. In particular, this October meeting was an opportunity to introduce companies in Pangyo and provide a venue to introduce new technologies of various startups. The online meetup video can be found on the Pangyo Techno Valley YouTube channel.
