    [Pangyo Tech] Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, ‘11th Startup 815 SEED’ successfully completed… “Support for attracting investment from promising companies in all fields!”

    The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center), the operating organization of the Pangyo Startup Zone, announced on the 17th that it had successfully completed the ’11th Startup 815 SEED’.

    ‘Startup 815 SEED’ is an IR program where the Gyeonggi Innovation Center discovers companies seeking to attract follow-up investment and actively matches them with fund investors from related industries. During the 10th session, 33 companies participated, and follow-up meetings were held for more than 60% of the participating companies, so the results of attracting investment are expected in the future. This session was held for promising companies in all fields.

    Participating companies include ▲ Liver cancer prognosis prediction kit, liver cancer early diagnosis kit ‘Medikina Bio’ ▲ Artificial intelligence sports tech startup ‘Resoconvergence’ ▲ Story-telling barter platform ‘Buert’ ▲ Medicinal product using aeroponics technology A total of four crop cultivation companies, ‘Pinch Green’, participated and proved the competitiveness of their business models and BMs.

    VCs included Mashup Angels, Blue Point Partners, Etri Holdings, North Mountain Angel Club, Fast Ventures, and Daewoong Pharmaceutical. We asked in-depth questions about the core technology, competitiveness, and scale-up strategy of the BM in question to look into investment possibilities.

    An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “In order to continue our role as a hub for attracting follow-up investment for startups, we plan to continue working to ensure that investments are made by actively matching attractive companies with professional investors in related industries.”

    Meanwhile, Startup 815 is held at each stage of startup growth in the Pangyo Startup Zone on the second, third, and fourth Thursday of every month, and plans to continuously discover promising companies to revitalize the investment ecosystem.

    In addition, the Startup Zone was established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively foster promising startups in new industries, and is the largest startup support cluster in Korea operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
