In addition to environmental policies such as the ‘Active Green Initiative’ and Net-ZERO, which were announced last April while establishing climate crisis response principles, win-win programs such as the Jega Birch and Sosin Merchant Project, and the domestic IT industry’s first DAO (Digital Accessibility) We have been carrying out various ESG activities, including strengthening digital accessibility through the appointment of a digital accessibility officer.
DJSI is a sustainability evaluation and investment index that comprehensively considers not only a company’s economic performance but also ESG performance and is recognized as a globally recognized authority in the field of sustainability evaluation and investment. It was jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Index, a global financial information provider, and S&P Global Swiss SA, a global sustainability management evaluation agency.
This year, 326 companies, or 12.8% of the top 2,555 evaluated global companies based on floating market capitalization, were included in the DJSI World Index, and a total of 24 domestic companies were included.
Meanwhile, Kakao has been actively carrying out ESG activities in each field since establishing the ESG Committee under the Board of Directors in January 2021. In the ‘2022 KCGS ESG Evaluation and Rating Announcement’ announced by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS) last November, all ESG categories received an A grade.
