Hancom Mobility (CEO Chang-yeol Lee), a subsidiary of Hancom MDS (086960), announced that it will provide a connected car linkage service with Hyundai Motor Group.
Through the mobile application ‘Parking Friends’, you can receive everything from parking reservations to car navigation directions in one-stop. After reserving a parking lot through ‘Parking Friends’, you can link Hyundai Motor Group’s connected car service ‘Blue Link’, Kia Motors ‘UVO’, and Genesis ‘Genesis Connected Service’ to find the parking lot location using the car’s navigation system. You can receive directions by sending a message.
Previously, navigation information could only be checked on a mobile phone after making a reservation and payment, but after linking the connected car service, the hassle of re-entering the parking lot address into the navigation system was reduced, greatly increasing user convenience.
A Hancom Mobility official said, “Through the connected car linking service, everything from parking lot reservations to route guidance has become available quickly and easily.” He added, “Starting with this connected car linking service, we will use vehicle specifications, driving records, and vehicle status information in the future. “We plan to gradually expand various services for the convenience of users,” he said. Meanwhile, Hancom Mobility is providing the IoT shared parking service platform ‘Parking Friends’ through business agreements with local governments across the country, including 16 autonomous districts in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Busan Metropolitan City, and Gwangju Metropolitan City. Through the IoT radar sensor developed with our own technology, information on empty parking spaces is provided in real time, and through this, drivers can accurately check information on nearby parking spaces, allowing them to park quickly without wandering around looking for a parking lot.
