-Ultra-low-latency media startup ‘Team Grit’ signs MOU with self-driving mobile robot startup ‘AIDL’

-Planned to supply robot-video-based media services that enable easy and convenient communication through MOU signing

-Team Grit, a company located in Pangyo Startup Zone, possesses WebRTC-based ultra-low-latency two-way video processing technology

Ultra-low-latency media startup ‘Team Grit (CEO Kim Ki-ryeong)’ recently signed an MOU agreement with autonomous mobile robot manufacturing startup ‘AIDL (CEO Hyun-seok Yoo)’ for a joint project on ultra-low-latency media for self-driving mobile robots. The day was revealed.

Team Grit is a company located in the Pangyo Startup Zone, established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Startup Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center. It has WebRTC-based ultra-low-latency interactive video processing technology and provides web-based media infrastructure. We have developed an IoT-specific web media platform called ‘Spider’ and are supplying it to domestic and Japanese companies.

Through this joint business agreement, Team Grit plans to provide media services that enable easy and convenient communication based on robots and videos. We plan to link our company’s platform ‘Spider’ with the self-driving mobile robot being produced by AIDL and launch it starting in the second half of this year.

AIDL is developing and distributing a HW/SW integrated platform system for indoor and outdoor autonomous robots based on ROS (Robot Operating System), which allows individual robot developers to apply target services without developing separate SW. Currently, we are selling five product lines, including logistics robots for smart factories and outdoor self-driving robots to be used in smart cities.

It is expected that the combination of Team Grit’s ultra-low-latency web media service know-how and AIDL’s self-driving robot system will create a new wave in the self-driving mobile robot market.

Meanwhile, TeamGrit plans to provide innovative intelligent Internet of Things media services through cooperation with various terminal manufacturers combined with AI technology such as drones, robots, and RC Cars.
