Mindforge Co., Ltd. (CEO Kyu-yeol Chae), which was selected in the health and well-being field of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA)’s ‘2023 non-face-to-face leading service activation project in the field of daily life’, is a company that processes real-time video data in the ‘Edge Device’. It is a company that specializes in developing AI (artificial intelligence) solutions.
Their solutions not only accurately recognize objects, faces, and poses, but also have functions such as object segmentation and depth detection, making them highly usable in various industries. Through this differentiated technology, Mindforge has supplied its AI solutions to large domestic companies and major institutions. In particular, it has been participating in the artificial intelligence learning data construction project of the Korea Intelligence Information Society Agency (NIA) from 2020 to the present. He also left a record of participating in six consortia.
The AI solution that Mindforge is currently pursuing commercialization consists of functions such as ▲health status analysis and linkage service ▲dietary care AI food camera ▲personally customized diet and exercise program. This automatically collects the user’s health checkup results for the past 10 years, analyzes the user’s health status, including the presence of diseases, and then links the calculated data with eating habits and exercise care services to enable effective health management.
Eating habits care is based on the AI camera function that automatically recognizes the name of the food, nutritional information such as calories, and product names and ingredient information from health functional food labels such as nutritional supplements using the smartphone camera. Through this, it collects nutrients that can be consumed from diet and nutritional supplements and synthesizes them with the user’s health status and past eating habits records to suggest optimal intake guides, diets, and exercise programs. In this process, customer segments are classified based on the user’s health status and a program optimized for the user classification is constructed.
In addition, it also includes a function where AI predicts future changes in the user’s face and creates an image by participating in the program.
A Mindforge official said, “According to the health care trend report published last year, 68% of respondents are interested in health care, but only 34.8% perceive themselves to be healthy,” adding, “Social demand for health care is increasing. “It is growing, but the demand is not leading to actual consumption due to lack of accessibility or lack of customized solutions,” he explained.
“Accordingly, our company plans to build specialized functions that realize differentiated customized services and supply them to companies and hospital fitness centers that want to launch mobile healthcare services,” he said. “Furthermore, in 2024, we will develop all-in-one and AI camera solutions.” “We plan to gradually expand our customer base by initiating supply contracts,” he said.
Meanwhile, the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA, Director Heo Seong-wook) aims to promote the distribution of non-face-to-face services in areas closely related to people’s daily lives, such as business, daily consumption, education/evaluation, and well-being/health in the pandemic era. We are pursuing a ‘service revitalization project’. Starting in 2021, as the non-face-to-face digital economy accelerates across the economy and society in response to the great digital transformation in the post-corona era, this project will select and support key investment areas focusing on services that urgently require non-face-to-face transformation. Mindforge was selected in the wellness and health field.
