Smilegate Hope Studio announced on the 30th that it signed an agreement with the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) to support vaccine distribution.

IVI is a non-profit international organization established under the leadership of the United Nations Development Program for the purpose of developing and distributing vaccines for global health. We have been distributing vaccines to prevent various infectious diseases such as cholera and typhoid fever in developing countries in Africa and Asia.

Hope Studio supports IVI’s vaccine distribution activities for underdeveloped countries. It is expected to contribute to increasing child survival rates and reducing social costs caused by infectious diseases.

Hope Studio explained that the funds to support ICI will be raised through a donation campaign run by Smilegate mobile RPG game ‘Epic Seven’.

“Smilegate will contribute to distributing vaccines to people in developing countries and improving global vaccine equity,” said IVI Secretary General Jerome Kim. “Through a friendly approach, we will demonstrate to gamers the potential of vaccines to improve the lives of people around the world.” “I hope we can spread the word about it,” he said.

Kwon Yeon-joo, Director of Smilegate Hope Studio, said, “We are happy to be able to contribute to improving the right to health for children in underdeveloped countries with vulnerable health conditions through this agreement.” He added, “Donations made through empathy and participation from game users will continue to spread, spreading a fun donation culture.” “I hope this can be an opportunity,” he said.
