Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’) announced on the 4th that it had invested in ‘Coxspace (CEO Kim Ho-yeon)’, a startup developing a gesture machine learning mouse.
Coxspace is a company that has been selected for the Gyeonggi Innovation Center’s ‘2021 K-Champ Challenge KB Unicorn Club’ support project and is receiving customized acceleration support. We have developed machine learning recorder technology that provides 3D spatial coordinates and distance measurement solutions and recognizes and predicts gestures.
Coxspace’s innovative machine learning mouse ‘SNOWL’ maximizes consumer satisfaction with accurate gesture services and can be applied to various devices to expand its usage. The Gyeonggi Innovation Center highly valued this and decided to invest.
Snowl is a ring-shaped wearable device that allows you to easily and conveniently use four mouse modes, including 3D Air Mouse, Gesture Mouse, App Mouse, and Joystick Mouse, in one device.
Existing 3D interfaces and devices are not only difficult to use due to their expensive and complex configuration, but also have spatial limitations as they require movement and distance in 3D space to be detected using cameras or infrared.
Coxspace goes beyond these limitations and develops easy and convenient controllers tailored to customer needs. Based on the core module, a sensor box that provides 3D spatial information, it can be used in various devices such as mice, TVs, smartphones, and AR/VR headsets. It can be used via Bluetooth without a separate device or program, making it easy to secure applicable markets and customers.
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center is a public accelerator that discovers and invests in promising companies. We promote investment projects targeting innovative startups such as center childcare companies. Depending on the investment company, follow-up support for fast scale-up may also be received through the Gyeonggi Innovation Center’s childcare program. To date, we have completed direct investments in a total of six companies.
An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “Snoul will be an opportunity to transform Korea from a mouse importing country to a premium mouse exporting country,” adding, “The Gyeonggi Innovation Center has an investment function in addition to Korea’s highest level of infrastructure and full-cycle accelerating capabilities. “We will strengthen and actively support companies’ global expansion,” he said.
