AhnLab (CEO Seok-gyun Kang) held an online ‘Live Field Trip’ for 27 cyber security students at Ewha Womans University on Monday, August 30.

AhnLab conducted job mentoring in the fields of malware analysis, forensics, and security consulting, reflecting the interests of Ewha Womans University students. A person in charge of the relevant field participated in the mentoring, introduced the work in detail and answered real-time questions from students. During the recruitment Q&A session, inquiries about employment, including internships and talent, continued.

In particular, seniors who graduated from Ewha Womans University and are currently working at AhnLab also participated in this tour and gave advice on career planning and messages of encouragement for juniors wishing to enter the security industry. After the mentoring, a ‘LAN tour’ was also held where participants could tour work spaces such as the network QA (Quality Assurance) room and office as well as rest areas such as the library and cafe from a first-person perspective.

Professor Kang Eun-seong of the Department of Cyber Security at Ewha Womans University said, “It was very helpful to have the country’s best current experts directly explain the major jobs and recruitment in cybersecurity that students were curious about. Moreover, we have alumni who are active as security experts in the field.” “Being able to see them was a great motivation for the participants,” he said.

“AhnLab provides customized content so that college students participating in online ‘Live Field Trips’ can obtain information that is practically helpful for their careers, such as studies and employment,” said Inchi-beom Inch, Executive Director of AhnLab’s Social Value Realization Team. “We hope to see a lot of interest and participation from college students who wish to enter the security industry.”

Meanwhile, AhnLab’s ‘Live Field Trip’ is an online field trip program that allows participants to participate by accessing a real-time broadcast (URL) from anywhere using a PC or mobile device with Internet access. After converting the existing field trip program to online, 5,478 domestic and foreign youth and college students have participated so far (2020.3~2021.8).
