Krafton (CEO Kim Chang-han) announced that the number of pre-orders for PUBG Studio’s upcoming game, ‘Battleground: NEW STATE’, has exceeded 40 million. This achievement was achieved by attracting 32 million pre-registrations on August 31st, followed by the successful conduct of the second alpha test and pre-registration in India starting on September 1st.
The second alpha test was held for three days starting August 27 in 28 countries, including Asia, the Middle East, Turkey, and Egypt. The response from fans who participated in the test was very positive. PUBG: Battlegrounds’ original battle royale gameplay was inherited, and the game’s in-depth play content and differentiated technology implemented by PUBG Studio were met with favorable reviews, predicting the game’s global success even before its release.
Park Min-gyu, general producer of PUBG Studio, said, “This achievement is a result of the expectations of fans around the world for PUBG: NEW STATE and your trust in PUBG Studio,” adding, “It reflects user opinions from the second alpha test ahead of release. “We will do our best to complete the final improvement work and provide Battlegrounds: NEW STATE’s advanced fun and stable service,” he said.
Battlegrounds: NEW STATE is a new game developed by PUBG Studios that will set a new milestone for mobile battle royale games. In addition to Battleground’s sophisticated and realistic gunplay, action, and original content, we applied cutting-edge rendering technology based on PUBG Studio’s technology and development capabilities to create graphics that go beyond the limits of mobile.
Pre-registration is currently underway on Google Play and the App Store, and the official release date is scheduled to be announced in October.
