Big data edutech venture company ‘Flex Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoon Soon-il)’ announced on the 8th that it has completed copyright registration (No. C-2021-041615) for ‘Kids Diary’, an AI psychological counseling app for infants and toddlers.
The copyright was registered in relation to the ‘Method of providing digital learning services capable of producing content based on smart devices’ under the Copyright Act.
‘Kids Diary’ collects and analyzes data using artificial intelligence (AI) from the video picture diaries of infants and toddlers aged 4 to 6 who are inexperienced in expressing their emotions and provides an interactive service to children and parents.
The child is presented with key words by an animal friend who replaces the psychologist. Keywords are based on psychological test sheets and are presented in an easy-to-understand animation format. Afterwards, when the child registers a video or picture diary for the suggested word, it is analyzed by AI, and psychological counseling and character education are provided in the form of an animated fairy tale.
Parents are provided with the results of their child’s diary analyzed by artificial intelligence, organized into four categories (psychology, emotions, interests, and level of excitement), as well as a customized character education guide that can be applied at home.
Sunil Yoon, CEO of Flex Co., Ltd., said, “We hold 10 technology-related patents, including emotion recognition methods using facial expressions,” and added, “We plan to apply for an international patent (PCT) in the U.S. at the end of this year.”
