[Pangyo Tech] Naver D2SF makes new investment in creator tech startup ‘Bigk’

Naver D2SF announced on the 10th that it has made a new investment in the creator tech startup ‘Bigk’.

As soon as it was founded, Bigk attracted seed investment worth 4.5 billion won from leading investment institutions and angel investors such as BonAngels, Naver D2SF, Base Investment, and Korea Investment Partners.

Bigk is currently developing ‘Bigk’, a platform where various creators, including entertainers, musicians, writers, and specialists, can communicate with fans and subscribers and consistently generate profits. The Bigk platform consists of ▲’Bigk Studio’, a SaaS (Software as a Service) exclusively for creators, and ▲’Bigk’, a mobile app that allows fans and subscribers to enjoy various live performances and contents of creators.

Creators can easily create subscription pages with their own unique characteristics in the online Big Studio, and can also host online events such as live broadcasts with one click. Additionally, a fan-subscriber care program and IP revenue analysis tools are provided. It is characterized by the ability to create various profit models in addition to advertising based on creator activities and the content itself.

Yang Sang-hwan, leader of Naver D2SF, said, “Bigk is a team with outstanding capabilities in quickly capturing the needs of creators and developing a platform with appropriate IT technology.” He added, “The creator economy is growing rapidly, with the size of the creator-related market growing 500% over the past three years. “It is a growing industry, and I expect BIC to grow significantly as well.”

Bigk CEO Kim Mi-hee revealed the background of her founding, saying, “We designed the Bigk platform based on the needs of creators for D2C branding and long-term monetization.” She added, “Bigk is a tech platform focused on the needs of creators, and it can be used by artists and experts such as entertainers, writers, and musicians. “We plan to launch an official service in January next year with various creators, including social celebrities.”

Meanwhile, Naver D2SF has invested in 79 technology startups since its launch in 2015. We are currently recruiting new investment teams through our website and are promoting various synergies between Naver and technology startups.
