Samgongsa participated in the ’23rd International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition (KORMARINE 2023)’ held at BEXCO in Busan for 4 days from Tuesday, October 24th to Friday, 27th.
Samgongsa, a leading shipbuilding equipment company with 50 years of history, is continuously making efforts to research and develop not only maritime but also land items. In relation to this, an official from Samgongsa said, “Under the judgment that shipbuilding equipment alone is very sensitive to economic trends and may cause problems in sustainable growth, we have recently researched and developed items related to athletics to do our best to share their role in the company’s interests.” “We are sparing no effort,” he emphasized.
Samgongsa, which participated in this exhibition, mainly introduced its water treatment system. This is a water treatment system for NOx (nitrogen oxides) reduction system. NOx is known to be a representative pollutant that causes air pollution.
Recirculated exhaust gases must be purified to prevent sulfur and particles from damaging the engine. The system is carried out in a combined process of pre-spraying of the EGR system using recycled fresh water (FW) and cooling and cleaning by EGR cooler spray.
When discharged out to sea, water quality must meet international requirements for effluent. Regarding this, a Samgongsa official introduced the product, saying, “This system is a new item and is an environmental equipment that removes water without storing it on the ship with the NOx removal EGR system.”
Meanwhile, KORMARINE 2023, co-hosted by Busan City, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Plant Association, Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, Lead K Fairs Co., Ltd. and BEXCO, will feature domestic and overseas shipbuilding, offshore plant, Cutting-edge equipment and new technologies in marine energy were showcased.
