A company official said, “The unmanned surface ships and unmanned AUV introduced at this exhibition are used for surveying the topography and environment of the seabed and can penetrate up to 2500 meters around Ulleungdo Island for investigation. “We are developing a project hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and plan to challenge autonomous AUV technology,” he said.
In addition, ADICS, WIRAS, and SDN are used for wired and wireless communications in special ships such as warships and submarines. It is a system that transmits multimedia information such as voice, video, data, and messages inside and outside the ship to perform operational command and control and administrative automation. It produces underwater systems for military and commercial purposes.
Meanwhile, MADEX 2023 is a ‘defense exhibition and government subsidy-supported exhibition (Korea Defense Industry Promotion Association)’ for publicity and export promotion of defense and export companies.
