Yamaha Music Korea will participate in ‘KOBA 5 (16st International Broadcasting, Media, Sound and Lighting Exhibition)’ held at COEX, Seoul from Tuesday, May 19th to Friday, May 2023th and present a digital mixing console ‘ It was announced that the ‘DM31’ series will be introduced.
Yamaha Music’s DM3 series consists of the ‘DM3 Standard’ model, ‘DM3’, the first compact console fully compatible with Dante Technology, and ‘DM3S’ that supports analog connection. These new products have been developed to target a wide range of consumers, from beginners who are using a mixer for the first time to professional engineers who want high-quality work, by diversifying the functions necessary for mixing work.
DM3 is a compact digital mixer that can respond flexibly and perfectly to a variety of situations, providing excellent sound quality, quick and easy setup and operation, and a wide range of pro-level functions. For example, it is equipped with 18 types of high-quality multi-effects processors to provide high-quality audio effects during recording, live performance, and streaming.
Furthermore, it boasts excellent usability by supporting a sample rate of 96kHz band, 16-channel analog input with fast response speed, 8-channel output, and mixer expansion through Dante network. In particular, it supports multiple languages, including Korean, and channel strips can be named in Korean, making it easy for non-experts to use them in educational institutions and churches.
The exterior of the product has a modernist design using black-colored metal material, and its light weight of 6.5 kg and compact dimensions make it highly portable. Furthermore, the official explained that it has the same accessibility as a smartphone with the ‘Touch&Turn’ knob and 9-inch touch screen that improves the convenience of the interface.
It can also be used remotely using various mixing applications such as DM3 Editor, DM3 Stage Mix, and Monitor Mix.
A Yamaha Music Korea official said, “DM3 is a product created with the philosophy and ideal of supporting sound mixing that is transparent in audio engineering and maintains the original tone,” and added, “Through DM3, engineers can clearly capture sound from the stage without distortion. He added, “We help you do the most creative work you need.”
“Also, in an analog environment, not only more equipment but also a higher level of user experience is needed to achieve good sound,” he said. “At the same time, the most important advantage of a digital console is that it is easy to operate and access powerful functions.” “In fact, DM3 fully satisfies these requirements.”
Meanwhile, the KOBA exhibition, co-hosted by Korea E&X and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association, was held for the first time in 1991 to improve domestic broadcasting culture and develop the media, sound, and lighting industries, and is celebrating its 31st anniversary this year. KOBA 2023, held at COEX Halls A, C, and D, presents next-generation broadcasting services and the future of the media, sound, and lighting industries. In particular, during the exhibition period, it provides an opportunity to acquire professional information related to broadcasting and sound through the International Broadcasting Technology Conference hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association and the sound-related professional technology seminar hosted by the Korea Sound Artists Association and the Acoustical Society of Korea.
