Tramontina participated in ‘CES 1’ held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 5 days from January 8th (Thursday) to 4th (Sunday, local time), providing step-by-step instructions for home cooks preparing a perfect meal. We unveiled Guru, a smart cooking device that provides guidance and motivation.
Tramontina said, “Cooking is both art and science. “It requires precise measurements, timing, temperature, and creative flavor combinations.” To this end, Guru was developed to help chefs create great meals that require sincerity and attention while reducing minor mistakes that could ruin the food. At this year’s CES Tramontina booth, chefs used Guru to cook in real time and distributed food to participants, thereby demonstrating Guru’s capabilities.
Tramontina Guru is equipped with an induction cooktop with a built-in temperature sensor and meter, a reflective display and touch-type buttons, and a Bluetooth communication function that connects to a dedicated smartphone app. Chefs can remotely control and monitor the Guru using a dedicated app, or view more than 200 detailed recipes. The app is compatible with iOS and Android and provides text and video guides, tips from professional chefs, and nutritious information. To improve the consistency of food made with Guru, Tramontina created all recipes in the app using cooking tools and accessories compatible with Guru.
The starter kit includes a 4-quart (3.785 L) saucepan with lid, a 9.5-inch ceramic nonstick skillet, and a set of measuring spoons and small rulers for accurate ingredient measurement. Users can purchase additional cooking utensils such as silicone cooking utensils, spoons, cutting boards, and bowls from Tramontina’s online shop. Tramontina expects Guruga home cooks will be able to hone their cooking skills with high-tech connected cooking devices, impressing family and friends.
