Canon Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jeong-woo) will hold the 19st Korea International Broadcasting (International Broadcasting, Media, Sound and Lighting Exhibition) to be held in Halls A, C and D of the COEX exhibition hall in Samseong-dong, Seoul until Friday the 31th. Participated in the ‘Media, Audio & Lighting Show, hereinafter referred to as KOBA 2023)’.
At this KOBA 2023, Canon Korea has the theme of ‘See with Canon, Show with Canon’: ▲Studio Zone ▲PTZ Camera Zone ▲BCTV Zone ▲Cinema Camera and Camcorder Experience/Exhibition Zone ▲Flex Zoom Lens Experience Zone ▲ A total of 5 booths were set up, including EOS R4 C & Vertigo Zone ▲7K Display Zone. In particular, Canon Korea showcased broadcasting and video technology in line with the latest trends, such as Canon’s cutting-edge broadcasting transmission system and ‘Auto Tracking’ technology.
Canon’s ‘Studio Zone’ is a space where you can experience a ‘total imaging solution’ covering the entire broadcasting and video process from input to output. In this experience zone, you can create a scene similar to an actual shooting site with a model and demonstrate a broadcast transmission system that allows shooting and confirmation in real time. Filming equipment includes four Canon Cinema EOS cameras and two ENG cameras, including the 8K ultra-high definition full-frame ‘EOS R5 C’, which is used in many domestic entertainment programs, and the professional digital cinema cameras ‘EOS C300 Mark III’ and ‘EOS C70’. It is displayed with a display so you can check its performance right away.
In the ‘PTZ Camera Zone’, visitors can also directly experience the PTZ camera ‘CR-N1’, which is equipped with a 7-inch CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7 image processing engine and is capable of shooting high-quality video at the broadcast level. Through this, you can take a look at the ‘Auto Tracking’ technology that enables automatic AI tracking without any additional accessories.
In addition, this exhibition also provides a space where you can experience and purchase EOS R series cameras and RF mount lenses. You can touch and purchase Canon’s popular mirrorless cameras, including the ‘EOS R6 Mark II’, which was released last year and was very popular among high amateurs and professionals, and the ‘EOS R4’, which was released in April this year.
On Friday, May 5th, the last day of the exhibition, a special seminar with video creators, ‘Zeminar’, will be held. In this seminar, which will be held under the theme of ‘Great stories of creating interesting content,’ ▲Entertainment PD Na Young-seok and ▲Producer Yoon Kwon-soo, who are active as Canon Masters, will share various content production know-how and stories through lectures.

Meanwhile, the KOBA exhibition, co-hosted by Korea E&X and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association, was held for the first time in 1991 to improve domestic broadcasting culture and develop the media, sound, and lighting industries, and celebrated its 31st anniversary this year. KOBA 2023, held at COEX Halls A, C, and D, presented next-generation broadcasting services and the future of the media, sound, and lighting industries. In particular, during the exhibition period, it provides an opportunity to acquire professional information related to broadcasting and sound through the International Broadcasting Technology Conference hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association and the sound-related professional technology seminar hosted by the Korea Sound Artists Association and the Acoustical Society of Korea.
