Tino Co., Ltd. (CEO Kwak Byeong-min) participated in ‘KOBA 5 (16st International Broadcasting, Media, Sound and Lighting Exhibition)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Tuesday, May 19th to Friday, May 2023th.
Tino is a network-based conference relay company for congresses and government offices, and presented a variety of products and solutions, including network-based NDI cameras and NDI conference relay switchers, at this exhibition.
Currently, Tano is responsible for broadcasting for about 150 government offices (parliament). NDI cameras and switchers are currently being used reliably in over 100 government offices, and are being used in the plenary conference hall of the National Assembly, standing committees, and important conference halls of government offices.
A unique feature is that a single Ethernet cable can provide video information, control data, and even power supply, saving up to 70% of the wiring and materials required for construction.
The MGH NDI camera supports 214 million pixels of high resolution and 20x and 30x zoom. In addition, we are working hard to export overseas as the world’s second conference camera that supports NDI FULL.
The NDI switcher is a product that processes various camera signals. It is a solution that allows various video processing such as sign language broadcasting, speaker tracking, subtitles, and split screen by receiving signals from multiple cameras through NDI. Areas of application include the plenary session of the National Assembly, standing committee broadcasting, and important meetings in government offices.
A Tino official said, “Our company has received an award from the Minister of Science and ICT for its contribution to the development of the domestic broadcasting equipment industry through continuous research and development. “We are contributing to increasing the competitiveness of domestic broadcasting equipment over foreign equipment.”
He continued, “We are known as a company that provides stable maintenance after delivery of broadcasting equipment as we have maintenance centers in 4 locations across the country, and we plan to introduce 4k 60p NDI cameras in the second half of this year through continuous development.” “We will improve the aging broadcasting system based on IP, and develop and build a stable system focusing on domestic equipment for all conference equipment used for filming, broadcasting, transmission, and storage,” he expressed his ambition.
Meanwhile, the KOBA exhibition, co-hosted by Korea E&X and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association, was held for the first time in 1991 to improve domestic broadcasting culture and develop the media, sound, and lighting industries, and celebrated its 31st anniversary this year. KOBA 2023, held at COEX Halls A, C, and D, presented next-generation broadcasting services and the future of the media, sound, and lighting industries. In particular, during the exhibition period, it provides an opportunity to acquire professional information related to broadcasting and sound through the International Broadcasting Technology Conference hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association and the sound-related professional technology seminar hosted by the Korea Sound Artists Association and the Acoustical Society of Korea.
