Gau Photo Co., Ltd. (CEO Seungmok Lee) participated in ‘KOBA 5 (16st International Broadcasting, Media, Sound and Lighting Exhibition)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Tuesday, May 19th to Friday, May 2023th. .
Established in 1988, Gauphoto is a company that imports and distributes imaging solutions such as printers and scanners as well as various computer equipment. Afterwards, starting with the launch of ‘GODOX Photo Equipment’ in China in 2017, the company began expanding its product line to include photography equipment such as photography and video lighting, and has now secured a product portfolio optimized for a diverse customer base ranging from amateurs to professionals. At this exhibition, Gauphoto showcased a variety of Godox lighting products distributed by the company, and introduced the recently released ultra-high-brightness bi-color LED lighting ‘MG1200Bi’ as its representative product.
MG1200Bi improves lumen density and lumens per watt (W) based on CoB (Chip-on-Board) technology that packages and controls multiple LED chips into one array, and provides uniformity at all color temperatures ranging from 2,800 to 6,500K. Provides one light.
In particular, the maximum brightness reaches 1,200 Lux at 5,600K through a power output of up to 78,800 watts (W), and in combination with best-in-class blending technology, sunlight can be created even in indoor shooting scenes when used alone, and a Fresnel lens or Even when used in combination with a reflector or projection device, stable and uniform irradiation is achieved.
In addition, smooth and precise control of dimming is possible with power adjustable in the range of 0.1~100%, and the dimming driver DMX512 that supports RDM protocol and Lumen Radio’s CRMX are built-in to support Ethernet control and Luminair control based on sACN and ArtNet protocols. At the same time, easy wireless control is possible with the RC-A6II or RC-R9II remote control and the Godox Lighting dedicated control application (app) ‘Godox Light App’.
A Gau Photo official said, “We organized this exhibition booth focusing on Godox lighting, which has performance and functions that are in no way inferior to any other brand,” and added, “As most of them are new products that were released not long ago, “We are getting a good response from visitors,” he said.
He continued, “However, Godox has boasted extraordinary recognition in the photography field, but it is true that its influence in the domestic broadcasting and video industry is still somewhat lacking.” I think this is because the charm of Godox products is not well known. “Through this opportunity, we hope to change that perception,” he said, explaining his reason for participating in this exhibition.
Meanwhile, the KOBA exhibition, co-hosted by Korea E&X and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association, was held for the first time in 1991 to improve domestic broadcasting culture and develop the media, sound, and lighting industries, and celebrated its 31st anniversary this year. KOBA 2023, held at COEX Halls A, C, and D, presented next-generation broadcasting services and the future of the media, sound, and lighting industries. In particular, during the exhibition period, it provided an opportunity to acquire professional information related to broadcasting and sound through the International Broadcasting Technology Conference hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association and the sound-related professional technology seminar hosted by the Korea Sound Artists Association and the Acoustical Society of Korea.
