Ssangyong Motor Company confirmed the name of the car, which had been developed under the project name ‘U100’, as ‘TORRES EVX’, and began publicizing the new car in earnest by releasing interior and exterior images prior to launch, starting with press day on the 30th at KINTEX in Goyang. It was announced that it will be introduced for the first time at the ‘2023 Seoul Mobility Show’ held at (KINTEX).

Ssangyong Motor Company released an image showing the interior and exterior design of the Torres EVX along with the branding goal contained in the car name. Based on Ssangyong Motor’s design vision and philosophy of ‘Powered by Toughness’, the design incorporates the style of a future-oriented electric model, with horizontal dot-style surface-emitting LED daytime running lights (DRL) across the front. was applied to emphasize the edgy, differentiated identity of electric vehicles.
In addition, the towing cover, which has a wild image of outdoor activities and off-roaders, embodies the pattern of ‘Lee’, which symbolizes the sun and fire among the Geon, Gon, Gam, and Lee of the Taegeukgi, and Torres EVX is the representative model of Korea’s authentic electric SUV. The interior of ‘Torres EVX’ is designed to allow drivers to experience a differentiated UX (User Experience) with an ergonomic design of Slim & Wide according to the Torres concept, and connects the digital cluster and navigation. In addition, the Torres EVX, inheriting Torres’ DNA with a living space that exceeds that of a mid-size SUV and a spacious loading space of 703ℓ (based on VDA213/T5 trim 839ℓ), is Korea’s first and only mid-sized authentic electric SUV with outstanding space compared to competing electrified models.
