VDR Co., Ltd. participated in the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’, which opened on March 31st and will be held at KINTEX for a total of 4 days until April 9th, and introduced an electric two-speed transmission for small electric vehicles.
VDR has experience in analysis and design technology and control logic development for powertrains (engines, motors, transmissions, etc.) and eco-friendly vehicles (electric vehicles, hybrids). Based on technical know-how and project implementation experience through various research and development, we present total solutions in the fields of powertrain system review, analysis, design, and control.
The electric two-speed transmission for small electric vehicles introduced at this exhibition is an ultra-small electric vehicle automatic transmission system that can solve the problems of torque disconnection and low torque efficiency in the excessive gear shifting section.
The product features a two-speed transmission specification, wet multi-plate clutch slip by an actuator, increased ring gear speed by clutch slip torque, and one-way clutch release. Clutch slip torque can be generated and power transmitted during the shifting process, so there is no feeling of torque disconnection. By combining a wet multi-plate clutch and connecting a sun gear and a ring gear, reverse motor rotation power transmission and regenerative braking are possible.
In addition, the development of a two-speed transmission performance test device makes it possible to analyze transmission performance and verify the shift control logic of the developed product.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will begin with a press day on March 1th (Thursday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 3 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do under the theme of ‘Sustainable·Connected·Mobility (Sustainable·Connected·Mobility)’ and end on April 30th ( It will be held until Sunday. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice the size of the previous event (9㎡), and over 53,541 companies and organizations from 26,310 countries around the world will participate and showcase various mobility contents.
