VSpace participated in the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’, which opened on March 31st and will be held at KINTEX for a total of 4 days until April 9th, and introduced an eVTOL aircraft for urban air transportation.
The urban air traffic eVTOL aircraft was developed with a state-of-the-art battery system and intelligent flight control, and successfully conducted a UAM demonstration flight. VSpace attracted attention by being the first domestic startup to exhibit an aircraft at the EAA Air Ventures in the U.S., a global private air show. Related technologies are being applied not only to aircraft of domestic and foreign companies, but also to e-mobility such as electric two-wheeled vehicles and vehicle batteries.
As a field in which the company hopes to advance into urban air mobility (UAM), it is developing a 1-2-seater PAV as an airframe and parts related to UAM’s battery system and an operating (charging) platform. PAV with a MTOW of over 120kg with high-safety batteries, minimizes the number of battery packs and fuselage parts through metal additive manufacturing technology.
We have experience manufacturing and supplying high-output, high-density battery packs (parts) for UAM for two-seat electric propulsion aircraft. Customers include the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, Amotech, and Vessel, which are developing a 2kg/wh, 230C-class battery pack with Hyundai Motor Company.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will begin with a press day on March 1th (Thursday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 3 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do under the theme of ‘Sustainable·Connected·Mobility (Sustainable·Connected·Mobility)’ and end on April 30th ( It will be held until Sunday. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice the size of the previous event (9㎡), and over 53,541 companies and organizations from 26,310 countries around the world will participate and showcase various mobility contents.
