Samsung Electronics will participate in ‘CES 2023’, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, opening in Las Vegas, USA on January 5 (local time) and showcase in-house ventures and external startups fostered by C Lab in 2022.
Samsung Electronics set up the ‘C Lab Exhibition Hall’ at Eureka Park, the startup exhibition hall of this CES, and presented four excellent projects from ‘C Lab Inside’, an in-house venture program for executives and employees, and ‘C Lab’, a program for external startups. The technologies and products of eight startups fostered through ‘Outside’ will be exhibited.
These C Lab projects and startups will be able to check the global market response and strengthen their business feasibility among CES visitors, who are expected to exceed 100,000 again this time. Investment and business cooperation consultations are also planned to be conducted on site.
Metaverse unveils 4 lifestyle-related ‘C Lab Inside’ tasks for the first time
‘C Lab Inside’ is an in-house venture program introduced by Samsung Electronics in 2012 to spread creative organizational culture and discover creative ideas from executives and employees. Starting in 2015, ‘Spin-off’ is a program in which excellent in-house venture projects are spun off into startups. The system is also being implemented. Starting with its first CES participation in 2016, Samsung Electronics has been selecting and presenting excellent in-house venture projects from ‘C Lab Inside’ for eight consecutive years.
The four tasks of C Lab Inside presented at this CES are ▲’Meta Learning’, a metaverse running posture coaching platform for injury-free running ▲’Polka Mix’, a metaverse concert platform that responds in real time and allows for realistic enjoyment ▲Meditation state with a smartwatch ‘Bream’, a meditation solution that measures and provides feedback ▲ ‘Palette’, an interior design service that allows you to preview and purchase home fabric products in 3D, etc. Among the tasks currently being fostered in-house, these are tasks that have been highly evaluated for innovation, marketability, and completeness. Tasks in the metaverse and lifestyle fields were selected.
Eight C-Lab outside startups, including robots, AI, and digital healthcare, were also exhibited.
‘C Lab Outside’ is a startup development program newly established in 2018 to expand C Lab Inside’s operational know-how outside the company and contribute to revitalizing the domestic startup ecosystem. Startups selected for C Lab Outside are provided with customized development programs such as business subsidies, digital marketing, and financial consulting to help their businesses grow quickly.
In addition, Samsung Electronics explains that it is providing full support, including exploring business cooperation plans with Samsung Electronics, attracting investment, and providing opportunities to participate in domestic and overseas IT exhibitions such as CES and KES.
At this CES 2023 C-Lab exhibition hall, six startups fostered by Samsung Electronics through the C-Lab Outside program over the past year and two startups fostered together with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center will be displayed.

Startups participating in these C Lab exhibition halls won a total of 2 Best Innovation Awards and 27 Innovation Awards at this year’s CES. Samsung Electronics explains that this is the highest record ever, following last year’s total of 22 innovation awards, and that its technological prowess and innovation have been recognized on the global stage.
