LG Electronics will participate in ‘CES 2023’, the world’s largest home appliance and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of four days from January 5 (Thursday) to January 8 (Sunday, local time) next year and introduce a new ‘minimal design’. ‘Home Appliances’ are released.

LG Electronics is expanding the space home appliance trend led by the Objet Collection to the global market and adding a minimal design line to provide a more differentiated customer experience to domestic and foreign customers.

Minimal design home appliances pursue a timeless design that never goes out of style, unifying the basic colors to achromatic colors and simplifying the exterior design by reducing physical buttons, decorative elements, and handles to a minimum. Additionally, the user experience (UX) and environment (UI) are also characterized by being intuitive and simple.

LG Electronics explained that it will incorporate ESG values into its medium-design home appliances. Minimize the materials and energy used to make products, such as reducing the number of parts used in the product and printing to indicate function and status, and streamlining the manufacturing process. In addition, we plan to use recycled materials from the interior and exterior of the product to packaging and cushioning materials.

LG Electronics plans to sequentially launch home appliances with these new designs under the UP home appliance brand starting as early as the first half of next year. LG Electronics explained that through this, customers can not only enjoy a clean design, but also continuously add new features through upgrades in the UP Appliance Center of the LG ThingQ app.

Prior to this, LG Electronics plans to exhibit five types of products with minimal design: refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, oven range, and dishwasher at this CES.

LG Electronics launched the ultra-premium built-in ‘Signature Kitchen Suite’ and ultra-premium home appliances ‘LG Signature’ in 2016, followed by the ‘LG Objet’, which combines home appliances and furniture, in 2018, and the ‘LG Objet Collection’ of spatial interior home appliances in 2020. It is being presented.

Kim Soo-yeon, senior expert at LG Electronics H&A Design Research Institute, said, “Simplicity can make the value of customers’ lives more elegant,” and “We will lead another home appliance trend with minimalist design.”

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held.
