iPass Co., Ltd. (CEO Seonjin Kim) will participate in ‘KOPLAS 3 (14th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition)’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan for 18 days from Tuesday, March 5th to Saturday, March 2023th. He said he would.

iPass is a specialized manufacturer of composite materials that combine fiber and resin. The company explains that these composite materials are widely used in industrial equipment, including injection molding machine rigid plate bushes, lathe rudders, pintles, carrier disks, bushes, and pump bearings. In particular, he emphasized that he has been supplying more than thousands of Woojin Plaim’s injection molding machine movable plate bushes since 2018, and has proven the ability to reduce bush costs by more than 30% with excellent price competitiveness.

At this exhibition, iPass will showcase a large number of its composite material bushes, including ‘LUNA15-GR’. It is applied to various industrial devices, including injection molding machines, and serves as a replacement for metal bearing materials. It is suitable for high loads, can expand the external lubrication cycle, and can minimize wear caused by foreign substances and sticking due to frictional heat generated from existing metal products during rotation and reciprocating motion.

Based on this bush manufacturing technology, iPass developed bearings for wastewater and seawater pumps and obtained New Product Certification (NEP) and performance certification from the Small and Medium Business Administration. Furthermore, we jointly developed CWP, SLP, and SCWP seawater composite bearings with five power generation companies, and are supplying pump bearings that received an excellent rating in the completion evaluation.

In particular, the composite material centrifugal pump wearing ring developed with Korea Water Resources Corporation reduces operating costs by improving the efficiency of existing centrifugal pumps by about 3%, and reduces operating vibration by more than 50%, which has the effect of extending the life of the equipment.

An iPass official said, “All of our products are domestically produced, so we also have the advantage of being able to meet the customer’s desired delivery date. We can also reduce maintenance costs by maintaining the price at an appropriate level, and we can reduce existing metal products used as machine parts. He added, “It can be replaced to reduce the overall weight.”

He added, “At this exhibition, we plan to expand our composite material customers by emphasizing that simplification of equipment and smooth supply can be achieved.”

On the other hand, KOPLAS, which celebrates its 2023th anniversary in 27, provides a variety of attractions from raw materials for plastics to molds, processing machines, related auxiliary devices, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products, and presents the present and future of related industries. It provides a ‘place for the plastic rubber-related industry’. As it is held at the same time as the Korea Material·Composite Material and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA), you can meet various products in one place.
