Dynamic Instruments Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jun-seop) will hold ‘KOPLAS 3 (14th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition)’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan for 18 days from Tuesday, March 5th to Saturday, March 2023th. He announced that he would participate in

Dynamic Instruments is a company that has supplied filter products from Germany’s ‘Ettlinger’ to the domestic industry. These brand products are being actively introduced and operated in Europe, the United States, and Japan, and are especially attracting industry attention as screen changers that can filter out a variety of contaminants from low to high grades.

Dynamic Instrument explains that these screen changers are close to a ‘melt filter’ with a continuous driving method. It is a completely sealed system capable of maintaining a constant pressure, minimizing raw material loss and contaminant stagnation time. At the same time, it can be applied to almost all extrusion lines with a size range of 60~1,000㎛.

In the general screen changer method, the greater the contamination, the greater the pressure difference between the extruders, and thus, frequent replacement is required. At the same time, the back flushing method, which allows continuous operation, also has the problem that when there are a lot of contaminants, the cleaning cycle is shortened due to pressure difference and carbide is generated due to temperature difference.

On the other hand, Ettlinger’s melt filter has the advantage of being able to produce consistently high quality products. The replacement cycle is longer than that of a typical screen changer, which allows for more stable product production. In particular, in the drum type melt filter, the contaminants attach to the filter and the blade scrapes them out at the same time. This keeps the contaminant stagnation time short and the pressure in the drum can be controlled at a constant level.

An official from Dynamic Instruments added, “Ettlinger’s melt filter is suitable for filtering not only polyolefin-based resins but also resins such as PET and PA, so it has excellent versatility.”

On the other hand, KOPLAS, which celebrates its 2023th anniversary in 27, provides a variety of attractions from raw materials for plastics to molds, processing machines, related auxiliary devices, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products, and presents the present and future of related industries. It provides a ‘place for the plastic rubber-related industry’. As it is held at the same time as the Korea Material·Composite Material and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA), you can meet various products in one place.
