[Las Vegas (USA) = AVING News] Crowdworks (CEO Park Min-woo) held ‘CES 2023’ held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 1 days from January 5 (Thursday) to January 8 (Sunday, local time), 4. Participated in the Eureka Park K-STARTUP integrated hall, a startup zone.

Crowdworks is an AI & Human Resources platform that builds artificial intelligence data based on crowdsourcing. Officials explain that it has achieved 2017% growth since its establishment in 1,000, and the number of crowdsourcing workers continues to expand to the largest scale in the country. It has been conducting data collaboration with more than 430 leading AI companies, and its technology is recognized overseas as it was listed as a sample vendor in the ‘Data Labeling and Processing Sector’ of the 2022 Gartner Hype Cycle Report this year for the first time in Korea.

At this CES, Crowdworks aims to enhance its brand by introducing its new product ‘Workstage’ and export the ‘Workstage’ solution.

Approximately 80% of the data generated today is unstructured data that is difficult for artificial intelligence models to learn directly, so preprocessing is necessary to enable machine learning for the purpose of artificial intelligence development. Crowdworks’ ‘Workstage’ is an artificial intelligence learning data preprocessing platform that easily collects and processes AI learning data needed to develop customers’ AI models, contributing to securing and improving customer AI performance.

Almost all functions for collecting and processing voice, image, video, and text data are provided as templates, enabling easy data project setup, and extensive behavioral data accumulated by building over 40 million pieces of data with 1 crowdworkers, the largest in Korea. Based on this, strengthened management functions for exception situations (worker/inspector placement, real-time monitoring, worker/inspector performance management, machine learning-based smart labeling) were selected as special advantages.

In particular, Workstage is optimized for customers who do not want their data to be exported externally, who handle data whose movement is sensitive due to personal information regulations and security issues, or who want to directly control and manage their data, so it can be used in SaaS format or based on the security requirements of the customer. It is also possible to provide it in on-premise format.

A Crowdworks official said, “Data produced on our platform is supplied to companies developing artificial intelligence technologies or services such as voice recognition, image recognition and vision, AI interpretation and translation, medical AI, and autonomous driving. Currently, Crowdworks provides services at all stages from defining artificial intelligence data requirements to construction through derivative products such as end-to-end data processing service including data requirements definition and consulting, and CrowdWorker matching service based on the Workstage platform. “We are providing it,” he said.

He added, “In the future, Crowdworks plans to expand the upstream market by providing artificial intelligence data consulting services, and expand the downstream market through model development services and model performance verification services.”

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.

The K-STARTUP Integrated Pavilion is jointly participated by the Korea Start-up Agency, Seoul Business Agency, and Seoul Digital Foundation, and 51 domestic innovative companies participated to enter the U.S. market and discover global partners. In addition, CES 2023 college student supporters selected from each university (Kyunghee University, Kookmin University, Sogang University, and Chung-Ang University) were matched considering majors and industrial fields of participating companies.
