Daesung will introduce new products for the beekeeping industry with a focus on sustainability at CES 2023, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of four days from January 1 to 5, 8.
Daesung aims to solve problems with existing beekeeping methods, which can accidentally kill harmless insects and harm natural ecosystems.
The first new product to be introduced at CES 2023 is an eco-friendly ESG wasp trap (English product name ‘Hornet Trap’) that protects beehives by targeting the habits of wasps, instead of using a fermented liquid attractant that can capture creatures other than wasps. In particular, just by installing it around the bee hive, it can intensively capture wasps and reduce the time, labor, and other costs required for pest control.
‘Hornet Trap’ plans to begin crowdfunding on overseas platforms Kickstarter and Indiegogo in the first half of 2023.
In addition, the Smart Hive brand’s latest lineup, the app-based ‘Smart Beekeeping System’, will be introduced. This is an integrated management device with a carbon-based elastic heating element that reproduces the heat of a bee and a far-infrared sensor that can be managed through a smartphone application. You can control the automatic feeder, waterer, temperature and humidity regulator installed in multiple beehives, and observe the growth environment of the bees in the hive.
CEO Jeong Hyeok of Daesung said, “I am proud to participate this year as well as last year. “We will continue to introduce new methods so that many people can enjoy the best beekeeping experience.”
Meanwhile, Daesung is seeking to expand overseas markets based on a joint research and development project with Spanish beekeepers and an ODA project with Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
