KOPLAS 1981, which is celebrating its 27th anniversary since its first meeting in 2023, will feature exhibits from 22 companies from 384 countries, including the Korea Materials, Composites and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA). Together with 1 companies and 43,000 booths with a total size of 700㎡ at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2,400, it provides an even richer variety of attractions.
As the importance of the materials and composite materials industry is further emphasized, chemical, metal, and ceramic materials will be introduced at the Korea Materials and Composites and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech 2023), which is being held by separating and expanding the materials and composites fields among the KOPLAS exhibition items. and bio and convergence materials will also be showcased. The simultaneous holding of plastics, rubber, materials and composite materials, and mold exhibitions is expected to produce the best results with more than 8 domestic and 1 overseas buyers visiting.
In particular, the use of plastics and rubber in Korea’s leading industries such as semiconductors, automobile parts, mobile phones, computers, and medical devices has increased significantly, leading to intensive technology such as unmanned automation of processing machines and ultra-precision, ultra-high-speed, and ultra-large molding machines for mass production of products. The participation of advanced processing equipment is increasing, and automated equipment for product processing and related parts, as well as test and measurement equipment and related services, are on display.
This year, KOPLAS and K-Mtech 2023 will exhibit and introduce everything from plastic raw materials to processing machines, related auxiliary equipment, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products. In addition, the ‘Future Strategy of the Plastics Industry According to the Emergence of Future Industries and Environmental Issues’ seminar will be held on the 15th (Wednesday) under the themes of ‘Plastics and the Environment’ and ‘Plastics and Future Industries’, and ‘Current Status of Carbon Neutral Materials and Environmental Technology’ The ‘Carbon Neutral Industrial Era Transition Conference’ will be held for two days on the 15th (Wednesday) and 16th (Thursday) under the theme ‘Meet .’ In addition, many PLA TECH CON and new technology seminars will be held in the seminar room (Hall 4) of the KOPLAS exhibition hall during the exhibition period, providing an opportunity to experience the latest trends in related industries.
With the hosting of KOPLAS 2023, the plastics industry is expected to identify technological development trends in the advanced plastics industry and improve quality comparable to quantitative expansion. The opening hours of this exhibition are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (until 18 p.m. on Saturday the 4th) and will also be open on Saturdays for local visitors.
