KraftPowercon Korea, led by CEO Tommy Rochhausen, has announced its participation in ‘H2 MEET 2024’, which will be held from September 25th (Wed) to 27th (Fri) at KINTEX in Goyang City.
KraftPowercon specializes in solutions, products, and services for industrial power conversion. The company is involved in various sectors, including electrolysis and hydrogen, air pollution control/ESP, marine, PCB, semiconductor, general metal surface treatment, and uninterruptible power systems. KraftPowercon creates value for its clients by ensuring efficient, eco-friendly, and reliable processes that meet current and future needs.
Headquartered in Sweden, KraftPowercon was founded in 1935 and currently has five manufacturing facilities in Sweden, China, and India, along with sales offices worldwide. Since the 1970s, the company has provided green hydrogen solutions, designed and commissioned plans and ecosystems for green hydrogen production, and offered technical support for commissioning and service.
The company emphasizes its capability to effectively navigate the complexities of designing electrical ecosystems for hydrogen production, processing, and application. KraftPowercon provides specially configured optimized power supply solutions tailored to grid requirements, input/output electrical requirements, and operating conditions.
At H2 MEET, KraftPowercon plans to showcase its hydrogen production and utilization expertise.
The company’s ‘PowerKraft’ is a solid-state thyristor-based, robust, efficient, high-efficiency DC power supply for large-scale hydrogen production equipment installations. PowerKraft power solutions for water electrolysis hydrogen production facilities consist of separately configured transformer and rectifier panels, meticulously designed to ensure peak performance in demanding hydrogen electrolysis processes.
‘FlexKraft’ offers outstanding reliability as a scalable switched-mode DC power supply, ideal for small-scale applications within the hydrogen supply chain. It features flexible design and scalable power output options that allow businesses to increase power supply to match growth without major investments or redesigns.
FlexKraft is available with air-cooled or water-cooled technology (CoolKraft) options and can be controlled through a separate control system (ControlKraft Touch). Additionally, FlexKraft can operate two rectifiers in one, reducing installation space and saving up to 15% in investment costs.
The rectifier can set voltage and current separately, allowing operation in CV and CC modes without limitations. This enables perfect control of the highest value processes when voltage limitation is necessary under controlled current.
FlexKraft can operate continuously at maximum output for extended periods in ambient temperatures up to 40°C and continue operating at a reduced production at 50°C.
The IGBT-type rectifier ‘I-Kraft’ is built with 650kW power modules per module and features an integrated active front end. This allows it to meet grid requirements and electrolyzer power quality specifications without additional accessories while providing excellent input and output power quality.
KraftPowercon’s Korean branch plans to expand its operations to Korea, Japan, and Australia.
H2 MEET is a specialized hydrogen industry exhibition for domestic and international companies and institutions involved in hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. This year’s exhibition aims to be a professional event that will enhance participation from global hydrogen industry companies, generate tangible results, and contribute to the understanding of South Korea’s hydrogen economy ecosystem. Starting this year, it will be held in conjunction with H2WORLD, and concurrently, the K-BATTERY SHOW 2024 and the Heating, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Fluid Exhibition Korea (HARFKO 2024) will also take place at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1.
