The Swiss Business Hub Korea(Headed by Andrea Clementi), part of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Korea, will set up a Swiss Pavilion at H2 MEET 2024, a specialized exhibition for the hydrogen industry from September 25 to 27.

This is the first time the Swiss Pavilion will be featured at H2 MEET, showcasing Switzerland’s latest hydrogen technologies and innovations. It will provide a platform for industry professionals from Korea and Switzerland to explore business opportunities together. Participating companies include Fives Cryomec AG, Endress+Hauser Korea, Maxon Motor Korea, Burckhardt Compression Korea, and Eugen Seitz. The pavilion will display various products meeting the standards of the hydrogen industry, such as pumps, cryogenic and high-pressure applications, optical analysis technologies, valves, hydrogen storage and charging solutions, and high-performance motors. The Swiss Pavilion will also introduce the Switzerland Innovation Park, which connects academia, research institutions, and industry.

The Swiss Federal Council has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, with hydrogen being a key component of Switzerland’s energy strategy. Today, Switzerland continues to drive innovation in hydrogen technologies through collaboration with the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, industry associations like Hydropole, prestigious universities such as ETH Zurich and EPFL, and research institutions like the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa). Numerous private companies are excelling in the hydrogen technology sector, leading the development of the hydrogen value chain, particularly in heavy transportation and mobility.

Andrea Clementi expressed, “We are delighted that Switzerland is participating with a national pavilion at H2 MEET 2024 for the first time. Switzerland has a long tradition and innovative technology in the hydrogen industry, and we hope this exhibition will strengthen the collaboration between Korean and Swiss hydrogen technology companies and create new business opportunities.”

The Swiss Business Hub Korea will host a dinner networking event, ‘Swiss Hydrogen Night X H2 Meet 2024’, at 6 PM on September 26 at the Diamond Hall, Sono Calm Hotel Goyang. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to connect and expand networks with the Swiss business community and key industry stakeholders.

H2 MEET is a specialized hydrogen industry exhibition for domestic and international companies and institutions involved in hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. This year’s exhibition aims to be a professional event that will enhance participation from global hydrogen industry companies, generate tangible results, and contribute to the understanding of South Korea’s hydrogen economy ecosystem. Starting this year, it will be held in conjunction with H2WORLD, and concurrently, the K-BATTERY SHOW 2024 and the Korea International Air-Conditioning Heating Refrigeration Exhibition will also take place at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1.
