Team Tetrapod (CEO: Lee Hee-sang) has announced its participation in the “2024 PlayX4 B2B” event, scheduled to take place from May 23rd (Thursday) to 26th (Sunday) at KINTEX in Ilsan.

Team Tetrapod aims to become a leading developer of detective game IPs in Korea. In April 2023, they released ‘Staffer Case: A Supernatural Mystery Adventure’ on Steam, receiving Korean consumers’ praise for its captivating world and story.

The game achieved various accolades, including winning the BIGS 2023 AWARD and being chosen as an outstanding game in the second half of 2023 by the Korea Creative Content Agency. It was recognized as one of the top 10 games at the Burning Beaver 2023 Awards. Additionally, it was a nominee for the Narrative category at the BIC 2023 Awards. Building on this success, the goal is to expand the ‘Staffer Case’ IP.

In celebration of the ‘Staffer Reborn’ release in April 2024 and the global version release of ‘Staffer Case: A Supernatural Mystery Adventure’, Team Tetrapod plans to promote these titles at the upcoming exhibition actively.

Set in a world where supernatural abilities exist, ‘Staffer Case’ and ‘Staffer Reborn’ are innovative detective games where players investigate inconsistencies in documents related to murder cases.

Players utilize psychic abilities akin to a psycho-matrix to investigate crime scenes and use the documents they compile to solve the case. With their highly immersive stories, ‘Staffer Case: A Supernatural Mystery Adventure’ has received an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam.

Although ‘Staffer Case’ and ‘Staffer Reborn’ are available for play worldwide via Steam, they are particularly targeted at North America, Japan, Taiwan, and China. Given the influence of the Japanese detective game series ‘Ace Attorney,’ the company expects a positive reception in Japan.

Team Tetrapod plans to participate in overseas events such as the Tokyo Game Show and intends to create sequels that share the universe of ‘Staffer Case’ and ‘Staffer Reborn’ next year.

Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by Gyeonggi Content Agency the 2024 PlayX4 B2B event will showcase new releases and experiences from domestic and international game companies under the theme “More than the Fun of Games.” The event will also feature side programs such as a retro market, e-sports competitions, and cosplay events.
