MONIT Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Do-hyung) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA in January next year.
MONIT is a domestic company that started as a research project at Samsung Electronics C-Lab in 2016, verified a successful business model, and converted into an independent corporation with the support of Samsung Venture Investment in April of the following year.
As a company in the digital healthcare field, they succeeded in developing their own diaper condition MONIToring system, ‘MECS (MONIT Elderly Care System).’ This is an IoT (Internet of Things) solution developed with a focus on solving problems such as urinary tract infections and bedsores in elderly patients requiring nursing care, and can also be expected to have the effect of streamlining caregivers’ diaper-related work.
MECS, which combines communication technology and cutting-edge algorithms, has been recognized globally for its unrivaled technology, and MONIT plans to exhibit related products at the upcoming CES 2024 to seek opportunities to enter the global market.
MECS MONITors the status of diapers in real time and has the function of generating a notification when a diaper change is necessary. This minimizes the risk of infection that can occur when diapers are left unattended, while also managing diaper usage and bedding, thereby reducing direct and indirect nursing care costs.
MECS, a version for nursing facilities that is about to be launched, is designed to manage multiple patients simultaneously in nursing facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes. In addition, the company explains that it is also possible to develop and provide customized services by reflecting the needs of clients (facilities).
In addition, MONIT will also present an AI chatbot service for beginners in parenting at the exhibition site. It is a chatbot app that provides reliable advice and information related to child care. It provides data purified by expert verification in a question and answer format to help immediately resolve questions about child care.
A MONIT official said, “Currently, our company is partnering with and working closely with several companies to enter the European and Japanese markets, and we will also knock on the North American market with our participation in CES 2024.” He added, “The United States has tremendous potential and opportunity. “It is a scattered region, and we expect CES to play an important role in connecting with potential local investors, customers, or partners,” he said, explaining the reason for participating in this exhibition.
Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.

The Seoul Integration Center, in which 13 organizations collaborate and participate, is an important step in Seoul’s efforts to make Seoul a mecca for startups, and 17 of the companies participating in the Seoul Integration Center proved this by receiving innovation awards.
