Tesollo Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Young-jin) announced its participation in CES 2024, scheduled to be held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 9th (Tuesday) to 12th (Friday) local time.
Tesollo is a company developing robot grippers and robotic automation solutions. Starting with the Delto Gripper-3F (‘DG-3F’), capable of stably gripping various objects regardless of material or shape, they also possess the DG-2F, which enables underwater operations, and the DG-V model optimized for palletizing tasks. In addition to gripper manufacturing, Tesollo also provides robot automation solutions utilizing its gripper line. One of its flagship solutions integrates the DG-3F model with a vision system and robotic arms. It facilitates robot automation picking solutions where robots grip and transfer various objects in manufacturing, logistics processes, or service robots.
In this regard, a Tesollo representative mentioned, “If conventional robots were limited to quickly picking up standardized objects, future robots would expand their tasks to picking up various non-standard objects in terms of material and shape.” They added, “From this perspective, the gripper (robot hand), which is the robot’s hand, determines its functionality. Our company specializes in the professional development of the robot hand, which will become a crucial component in the future. Specifically, we focus on developing core hardware and software (grip control algorithms) for robots to grip and manipulate diverse objects stably.”
Despite being a robot gripper composed of 3 fingers and 12 joints, the DG-3F is a commercialized model that ensures durability and maintainability. Its standout feature is the built-in grip control algorithm that enables even non-experts to control the robot hand easily. The gripper can be attached to various collaborative robots or industrial robots such as Universal Robots (UR), Techman Robot (TM), and Doosan, allowing gripping of up to 10kg with a weight of less than 1kg.
The representative stated, “We have conducted initial sales to over 20 Korean robot research and development institutions and PoCs with major Korean companies, achieving cumulative investment of over 2 billion KRW.” They added, “In the future, we aim to expand into areas such as preparing for automation in global markets for bin picking, piece picking processes for manufacturing and logistics companies, robot SI (System Integration) companies, and service robot manufacturing companies requiring diverse object picking (household assistance robots, last-mile robots, etc.).”
