    At a meeting with Prime Minister Kim Boo-gyeom on the 9th, Kakao promised, “We will invest 500 billion won over the next five years to create more than 20,000 jobs and foster digital talent.”

    On this day, the government signed a partnership with Kakao for the second project of Season 2 of ‘Youth Hope ON’ at Kakao’s Pangyo office in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

    At this meeting, Kakao Chairman Kim Beom-soo announced that he would directly hire 10,000 people over 5 years, with an average of 2,000 per year, through the ‘Kakao Community’, including primary affiliates.

    In addition, he said he would train 6,000 professionals through AI (artificial intelligence) campuses and create 4,000 jobs through investment in startup companies and employment support.

    The AI ​​campus is being built for the purpose of employee education, and the plan is to open it to general youth to develop a total of 6,000 digital young talents, 2,000 each year for three years from 2024.

    Prime Minister Kim said, “The Kakao myth is the hope of our youth,” and added, “Kakao’s participation has raised expectations that not only will more than 20,000 good jobs be created and talent development in the digital industry alone, but a second and third Kakao will emerge.” said.

    At the same time, he said, “Kakao said that it would play a role as an agent in solving social problems and that it would think more about inclusive growth and strengthen ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management, and we expect that it will set an example for win-win management in the future.” He asked people to pay attention to various social contributions.

    Regarding this, Chairman Kim said, “To create a structure where starting a business can be an option for our young people when choosing a career path, I will personally contribute to supporting IT talents to start a business and nurturing innovators and entrepreneurs.” “We will also actively recruit at the Kakao community level so that young people can enjoy creating services for our society,” he said.
