Edtech company Flex Co., Ltd. (CEO Soon-il Yoon) announced on the 3rd that it recently participated in the ‘Edutech Verification Expert Training Course’ hosted by the Korea Education and Research Information Service (hereinafter ‘KERIS’).

This KERIS EdTech verification expert training course was conducted with the purpose of nurturing experts who can systematically verify the suitability of EdTech for public education. The program was designed to foster basic understanding of the verification process for each type of edtech and systematic verification implementation capabilities.

Flax is an edtech venture company that operates ‘Kids Diary’, a non-face-to-face AI psychological analysis service. A service was provided so that elementary and middle school teachers who participated in this training course could directly experience Kids Diary and exchange opinions on edtech verification elements such as usability, compatibility, and educational suitability.

Teachers expressed positive opinions, saying that the Kids Diary service serves as an ’emotional signal light’ for students in educational settings and can be effectively used to understand students’ psychology. In addition, improvement measures were presented, such as supporting UI/UX convenience of app services for teachers and suggesting diary keywords for elementary, middle, and high schools.

Flex plans to improve its services by reflecting the opinions of field teachers collected through this process and provide services suitable for field education.

Yeri Seo, a psychological analysis researcher at Flax, said, “By listening directly to the opinions of teachers, I became clear about the differences between the services needed by parents and teachers.” “We will strive to grow into a readable service,” he said.
