Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency announced that they are recruiting participating companies for the ‘Global Startup Business Support Project’ targeting sprout companies located in Pangyo 1st and 2nd Techno Valley that wish to expand overseas.
The ‘Global Startup Business Support Project’ is a project to revitalize the global industrial ecosystem of Pangyo Techno Valley by supporting overseas expansion of sprout companies located in Pangyo Techno Valley 1 and 2 with excellent products or services.
A total of 18 companies will be recruited, and if selected, they can receive up to 50 million won in commercialization funds for overseas expansion. It can be used for labor costs, product development costs, prototype production costs, intellectual property application (registration) costs, video production costs, and market development costs required for overseas commercialization.
Any company with its headquarters in Gyeonggi-do and research institutes, branches, and overseas expansion-related departments located in Pangyo 1st and 2nd Techno Valley can apply. The final selected company will be selected at the end of May after going through the first written evaluation and the second presentation evaluation.
The application period is from the 12th to the 15th of next month. To apply, download the application form from the announcement on the Pangyo Techno Valley website, fill it out, and submit it by email.

Park Jong-il, head of Gyeonggi Province’s Future Industry Department, said, “This project was designed to help companies located in Pangyo Techno Valley who have difficulty expanding overseas due to COVID-19. “We plan to implement effective support projects to discover and foster competitive global sprout companies,” he said.
