Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (Director Shin Hyun-sam, hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’) announced on the 5th that it will hold ‘Startup 815 IR’ at the Pangyo Startup Zone on the 28th.

The Gyeonggi Innovation Center collaborates with the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and the University of Suwon to hold investment briefings for each innovative technology field every month at the Pangyo Startup Zone. The purpose is to discover excellent startups in Gyeonggi-do and revitalize the startup ecosystem.

‘Startup 815’ means that excellent startups (8) meet with investors (5 people) every month (once) and have investment opportunities. Participants in the 2nd Startup 815 IR are start-ups in the fields of parts, parts, equipment (materials, parts, equipment), manufacturing, and IoT.

We are recruiting for a total of three tracks: the initial stage (Jump-up) with 3 years of business experience, the mid-term stage (Scale-up) with 7 years of business experience, and the global track for companies wishing to attract overseas investment and advance into business.

Selected startups will be provided with opportunities to attract investment and advance into the global market, including ▲1:1 mentoring to strengthen IR capabilities, ▲IR pitching and feedback provision, and ▲networking with global investors.

An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “We have established a new global track to actively support startups wishing to expand overseas,” and added, “We plan to create an environment that expands the network and the possibility of attracting overseas investment from companies.”

Meanwhile, the Pangyo Startup Zone was established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively foster promising entrepreneurs in new industries, and is the largest startup support cluster in Korea operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
