‘Startup 815 IR’ is an investment attraction program conducted every month by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and the University of Suwon. Every month, we plan to discover excellent startups in Gyeonggi-do and provide opportunities for corporate promotion and investment attraction.

The event on this day consisted of a total of three tracks. There is a global track for those wishing to advance into the global market and attract investment, a scale-up track for start-ups less than 7 years old, and a jump-up track for start-ups less than 3 years old. Four companies were selected for each track, and a total of 12 excellent companies in Gyeonggi-do had IR pitching and networking sessions to attract investment.

The scale-up track includes ▲’Dot Hill’ (healthcare monitor robot and cloud signage), ▲’Tesolo’ (robotic gripper capable of irregular gripping and precise manipulation after gripping), ▲’Mirroroid’ (smart mirror sales and platform) service), ▲’Enbee Bebe’ (skin immunity improvement cosmetics containing plant tissue cultures) participated and introduced their core technology and vision.

VCs with interest in investing in related fields, including Yuanta Investment, Alumni Partners, Daedeok Venture Partners, Horizon Investment, and KTB Network, served as reviewers.

In the global track, ▲’My Brain’ (brain-specific MRI,precise diagnosis system using advanced 3T MRI images), ▲’Kangsters’ (development and manufacturing of assistive devices for the disabled), ▲’M Take’ (UV photo for detecting food poisoning bacteria) Semiconductor sensor) ▲’The Coder’ (application of coding technology, ESG resource recycling and tracking solution) had a presentation.

500 Startups Korea, Primer Saje Partners, Strong Ventures, Big Basin Capital, and A Ventures, which support overseas expansion for early-stage startups or have global funds, participated as global judges.

After the companies’ IR pitching, feedback from investment experts was provided, followed by follow-up networking for practical investment connections.

An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “We plan to continue providing opportunities for global VCs and companies to meet in order to create a startup zone into a global startup hub.”

Startup 815 IR is held on the last Thursday of every month, and the third session is scheduled to be held from May 2nd (Monday) to 13th (Friday) for bio, smart city, and ESG fields. Companies wishing to participate can apply on the event website.

Meanwhile, the Startup Zone is Korea’s largest startup support cluster, established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively foster promising startups in new industries, and operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
