Samsung SDS announced on the 30th that it opened the Pangyo IT Campus to transform the existing ITO work, which was dispatched to customer sites, into a remote work operating system suitable for the cloud era.

Through this, about 2,000 Samsung SDS executives and employees who were working scattered across customer sites will gather at the Pangyo IT campus to integrate and operate the IT system on a cloud basis.

Samsung SDS plans to continue to promote ITO business innovation through work standardization that converts customer business systems to SaaS and DevOps-based operation automation that parallels and collaborates development and operation.

Activities to convert existing systems into applications suitable for the cloud environment are also accelerated by utilizing methodologies and know-how for application modernization, such as containers and MSA suitable for the cloud native environment.

Meanwhile, Samsung SDS Pangyo IT Campus has implemented a work environment in which customers can safely access the customer network from anywhere by applying SDN technology that manages the network through software.

To prevent customer information from being leaked, security policies such as IT security system, facial recognition access system, and intelligent video security control according to each customer’s security policy have been further strengthened.

“We predict that the transition to a cloud-based IT integrated operating system will become a new standard for IT operation work,” said Hyung-jun Koo, vice president and head of the cloud service division at Samsung SDS. “Samsung SDS will continue to strengthen its cloud capabilities and hire experts.” “We plan to accelerate our cloud-first strategy, including training,” he said.
